As soon as Sara saw the monkeys — she said “I can’t do that!” We call her our little monkey as she climbs everywhere … but when she saw what the monkeys could do — she thought I don’t think I can be a real monkey

Pecan street festival — September 20th- Festival

On september 20th we went to the Pecan Street Festival — it’s a famous festival in Austin where a lot of people sell their crafts. Le 20 septembre nous sommes allés à un festival très connu à Austin où les gens vendent leurs créations.

Austin Children’s museum — musée des enfants

Sara was invited today to a birthday party at the children’s museum – The girls had SO much fun.

Aujourd’hui Sara était invitée au musée des enfants pour un anniversaire. Les filles se sont éclatées.

Fière … d’Ana … elle est venue aujourd’hui dans ma classe pour lire une petite histoire qu’elle a écrite sur l’halloween en anglais … elle fait tant de progrès. Wha ! Proud of Ana — she came to read a story on halloween that she wrote in English class. She is making so much progress.

Fière de Sara …  elle a fait une sortie de classe et devait rencontrer des animaux comme un lapin, une tortue, un serpent — son rêve était de caresser le serpent — à son retour, les maîtresses m’ont dit que son rêve s’est réalisé. She tasted — the bitter taste and it was Orange Marmalade ! Elle a eu le goût amer avec la confiture d’oranges !

Sara — our beautiful princess — notre petite princess

The fun part of being a teacher is that you hear right away what your children say or do … and usually they are always fun to hear yesterday, Sara’s teacher and also assistant teacher came and told me that Sara wanted to show everyone how beautiful she was. She had put a barrette in her hair (she wants her hair to grow very long) and already in the morning she told me that she was going to show everyone how beautiful she was. So here she is in class telling everyone to look at her — so the teacher asked her to come in the front — so she did and explained all in French that today she was very beautiful, she was wearing a beautiful barrette and also jewelry ! They said she was quite something and sure about herself. They had a lot of fun hearing her.

Et oui être maîtresse au même endroit que ses  enfants est super. Je peux entendre tout de suite ce que les enfants font ou disent. Hier matin Sara se trouvait particulièrement belle et bien sur on le lui avait dit. Alors Sara nous a dit que tout le monde allait la trouver “beautiful”. Arrivée en classe, elle voulait que tout le monde la regarde alors la maîtresse lui a demandé de venir devant ! Elle est arrivée devant avec assurance et a dit que ce matin elle avait mis une belle barrette, un beau collier et qu’elle était très belle. Les maîtresses ont bien ri
